The SPCA wishes all owners and their beloved pets a prosperous Year of the Dragon!

Although Chinese New Year is a time for families to get together, lots of animals are still waiting for a home at the SPCA. In 2022/2023 alone, we received 1,136 abandoned or rescued animals and cared for them as they awaited their forever home. Unfortunately, some have spent the festive season alone year after year without a loving owner.

Since January 2024, we have been caring for more than 400 animals at the SPCA. We hope that the animal-loving community will send their blessings to these animals by joining our CNY Donation Campaign so that we can continue to give them the care they need until they find a home to call their own.

Only 1% of our funds come from the Government. For the past 103 years, the generous donations from the public have been vital to help us help thousands of animals.

Despite the never-ending challenges, the SPCA always strives to provide the best quality care to our animals. However, amidst soaring inflation, we need your support to help tend to these animals' needs, such as medical treatments, behavioural training, enrichment, food and other daily expenses.

Kyoto Uji Green Tea Powder

Originating from the Uji region in Kyoto, Japan, this finely milled green tea powder symbolises high-quality tea since the 13th century. It has also become a much-treasured Japanese heritage and tradition. Over the past few centuries, the green tea manufacturers in Uji have refined their tea-growing and processing techniques. Tea plants designated for matcha are shade-grown for several weeks before harvest. This process boosts the chlorophyll content, giving the tea its characteristic bright green colour and enhancing its flavour profile.

Plum & Sea Tangle Tea Powder

The tea is primarily made from the high-quality Rausu kelp sourced from Rausu, Hokkaido. When mixed with hot water, it forms a distinctive kelp-coloured substance and can be drunk directly or used as a versatile seasoning in various dishes.
